Terms of Service

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using all content and services provided by Hashito System Inc. (the "Company") (collectively, the "Service"). The Service includes everything provided on the website hashitosystem.com and its subdirectories, as well as videos, software, text, images, audio and any other content or services the Company delivers through video platforms, social media, app stores or other third-party platforms, regardless of format, medium or whether a fee is charged.

Anyone who views or uses the Service (a "User") is deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Any separate rules, notices or on-page explanations the Company publishes for a specific service ("Individual Rules") form part of these Terms. Where Individual Rules conflict with these Terms, the Individual Rules prevail.

Where the Company enters into a separate agreement with a User (for example a development or outsourcing contract), that agreement prevails over these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Content" means all videos, text, images, audio, Study Posters, software and any other material the Company provides through the Service.
• "Free Tools" means the browser-based QR code and barcode generators and analyzers, converters, generators and other tools provided on the Service.
• "Study Posters" means the educational images, PDFs and similar materials provided on the Service.
• "Input Data" means any text, images, files or other data a User enters, pastes or uploads into a Free Tool.
• "Output" means any text, images, files or other results produced by a Free Tool.

Article 3 (Conditions of Use)

Users use the Service at their own responsibility and expense.

A minor may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and is deemed to have obtained that consent by using the Service.

The Company may restrict all or part of the Service, or refuse use by a particular User, without prior notice.

Article 4 (Nature of the Content and Free Tools)

The Free Tools are designed to process data inside the browser wherever possible, but the Company does not guarantee that Input Data is never transmitted outside the browser. Whether to enter confidential information, personal data or data involving third-party rights is entirely the User's own decision and responsibility.

The Service and all Content (including but not limited to videos, text, images, the Free Tools and Study Posters) are provided "as is". The Company makes no warranty of any kind, express or implied, as to their accuracy, completeness, currency, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or freedom from errors or interruption.

Users must verify the accuracy of any Output and of the Content themselves. The Company accepts no responsibility for the consequences of using Output or Content for business, study, publication, printing, distribution or any other purpose.

The Company may change, add to, suspend, discontinue or withdraw from publication any part of the Service or Content, including its specifications and delivery, at any time without prior notice.

Article 5 (Intellectual Property)

All copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in the programs, text, images, videos, audio, designs, logos, marks and any other information that make up the Service belong to the Company or to third parties who have licensed them to the Company.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, transmit or otherwise use the content of the Service without the Company's prior written permission, except for private use, quotation and other uses permitted by copyright law, the use of Study Posters described in the next paragraph, and, for Content published on external platforms, uses permitted by that platform's own terms (such as its embed and share features).

Study Posters may be freely printed, displayed and distributed for educational purposes at schools, at home, in the workplace and similar settings, provided the source ("Hashito System Inc." or the URL of the Service) is credited. Redistribution of modified versions, and any sale or paid redistribution, is not permitted.

Users retain their rights in Input Data. However, Users grant the Company a free, perpetual licence to use Input Data, Output and usage information, in a form that does not identify individuals, for improving the Service, research and development, and compiling statistics.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

When using the Service, Users must not:

• violate laws or public order and morals, or engage in conduct connected with a crime;
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, reputation, credit or other rights or interests of the Company or any third party;
• place excessive load on the Service's servers or network, or perform bulk access or scraping by automated means;
• reverse engineer, modify, gain unauthorised access to, or probe for vulnerabilities in the Service;
• use the Service to harass third parties, send spam or distribute malware;
• use or distribute Output while knowing that its content is unlawful or infringes third-party rights;
• interfere with the Company's business; or
• engage in any other conduct the Company deems inappropriate.

Article 7 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage a User suffers in connection with the Service, whatever the cause, including but not limited to direct, indirect, special or incidental damage, lost profits, loss or corruption of data, and business interruption.

If a dispute arises between a User and a third party in connection with the Service, the User shall resolve it at their own responsibility and expense and shall hold the Company harmless from any resulting inconvenience or damage.

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs, where damage results from the Company's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where an exclusion of liability is not permitted by law, the Company's liability is limited to the amount the User actually paid to the Company for the service concerned (JPY 10,000 for services provided free of charge).

The Company is not liable for damage arising from interruption, suspension, termination or modification of the Service, loss of data, failures of communication lines or equipment, or unauthorised access by third parties.

Article 8 (User Responsibility)

Users bear full responsibility for their use of the Service and its results. Backing up Input Data, verifying Output, and confirming compliance with laws and third-party rights are entirely the User's responsibility.

If a User breaches these Terms or otherwise causes damage to the Company in connection with the Service, the User shall compensate the Company for that damage, including reasonable legal fees.

Article 9 (External Services and Advertising)

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, external CDNs, analytics, advertising or affiliate programmes and similar services. The Company is not involved in, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, transactions or terms of those external services.

Article 10 (Use of YouTube API Services)

Parts of the Service, including video-related features and tools, use YouTube API Services. By using those features, Users are also deemed to have agreed to the YouTube Terms of Service.

The handling of information obtained through YouTube API Services is governed by the Google Privacy Policy in addition to our Privacy Policy.

Users can revoke the access they have granted to the Company's application to their YouTube account at any time via the Google security settings page.

If all or part of the Service becomes unavailable because of changes to, suspension of, or restrictions on YouTube API Services, the Company is not liable, in accordance with Articles 7 and 9.

Article 11 (Changes to these Terms)

The Company may change these Terms whenever it considers necessary, without prior notice to or consent from Users. The revised Terms take effect when posted on this page, and a User who uses the Service after a change is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute relating to the Service or these Terms.

Article 13 (Severability and Language)

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

The Japanese version of these Terms is the authoritative text. If there is any discrepancy between the Japanese version and this English translation, the Japanese version prevails.
